The Gerbermühle in Frankfurt is a place of long history. In the 14th century a feudal estate originated at this place. Two centuries later the grain mill was built there. In the 17th century the arrangement was used as a tanning. Therefore, the name Tanner's mill (Gerbermühle) has kept till today.
